Japanese Fertility 2003
Dr. Joseph Hawkins, PhD, one of the most recent additions to the Board at the ONE Institute & Archives was our guest speaker at our Social Mixer/Potluck on January 5, 2003. Dr Hawkins discussed the history and future of ONE Institute & Archives, as well as some of his own research into various Asian cultures.
Dr. Hawkins is fluent in Japanese and has written several publications about homosexuality in Japan. His large color photographs of the recent Japanese "Fertility Festival"* hung in the ONE art gallery earlier this year. These same pictures were on display at the meeting.
