Passing of Milt Owens

 Dear Friends,
 
It is with great sorrow that I have to announce that Milt Owens, our longtime friend (mine of 45 years), President of A/PGF LA and Secretary for decades, passed away peacefully in his sleep Wednesday morning (August 21, 2024) due to cardiac pulmonary failure. He is survived by his partner of many decades, Wiwat.
 
Gary Meade and I almost missed our flight to Chiang Mai, Thailand, for a visit a couple of months ago. Somehow, we made it and was greeted at Chiang Mai airport by Milt with a welcome sign - what a fantastic visit!
 
There were no emails during the early days of A/PGF LA. Once a month, we would gather around and hand stuff envelopes with the newsletter. We had always hoped that A\PGF (APLG), our family, would last forever. Well Milton Owens, due in large part to your decades of hard work, that wish came true
