- To provide a support system for gay men and women of Asian/Pacific Islander descent in their relations with their families and communities so as to understand and accept each other with caring and pride
- To inform individuals and the community at large on the experience of Asian/Pacific Islander gay men and women
- To support the full human rights and civil rights of gay men and women
- To increase awareness and understanding of the rich cultural heritage and diversity that exists among Asian/Pacific Islander ethnic groups for members and the general public
- To provide opportunities for members of Asian/Pacific Islander descent to develop leadership skills and function in leadership positions
- To foster a sense of community in a family-like environment
- To promote positive interactions among the members
- To provide a support system that will help members understand and accept other important people in their lives
- To strive to enhance the self identity, pride, personal growth and competence of the membership
- To inform the membership of relevant political and social issues
- To improve understanding of the gay and lesbian Asian/Pacific Islander experience by the greater gay communities, the Asian/Pacific communities, and the public at large.
