SYNOPSIS

The owner of a popular restaurant in Singapore, Jen Fan, has three sons, Daniel, Harry, and Leo. The first two are gay and Jen is determined that the youngest, Leo, does not go the same way so she can have grandchildren. She enlists the help of a friend, who also owns a restaurant and is in love with her, to hatch a plan that involves bringing a female French exchange student to Jen's house as a love interest for Leo. Jackie Chan was a producer and the friend is played by TV chef Martin Yan.

EVENT LOCATION


This event will take place at 1116 Manley Drive in San Gabriel. To get there, use the Del Mar exit from the 10 Freeway, head north for approximately 1 mile, then turn left onto Chestnut (just past the fire station), and finally, take a right onto Manley.


Event Schedule:

  • Potluck Start Time: 6:30 PM (Feel free to arrive earlier for socializing and eating.)
  • Movie Screening: The movie will begin around 7:30 PM.
  • Desserts: Desserts will be served after the movie.


Important Notes for Attendees:

  • This is a POTLUCK event. Please bring real food, which should be prepared and ready to eat. Only heating and refrigeration facilities will be available.
  • Chips, sodas, juice, and water will be provided, but they do not count as real food.
  • Whole chickens and watermelons will not be cut up for you.
  • For those contributing food, there is no charge.


If you’re attending without bringing food, the admittance fee will be $10.
